Review: Breakfast with Howie and Pollyanna

Millie858 from LiveDaily shares her experience with Howie and Pollyanna on February 22'nd

My day started out around 5am because I couldn't sleep. I was up about every 15 mins during the night because I was so excited to be seeing Howie. It was raining by the time we got to Jillian's, 2 of my friends were already there, so my best friend and I went to the back and waited. We got in and stood on another line while they finished setting things up.

My friend went to see what was the hold up and came back and told me Howie was greeting everyone while walking in. So I'm like NO FREAKIN WAY!!! And she told me "yes you can go look", so I casually walked over and indeed Howie was standing there. I almost started crying but I kept my cool.

He was wearing a black sweater and blue jeans that flared at the bottom and his black leather DLF jacket!! When we got to him he asked us if we were together and we said Yes and then he said he had to do things in pairs or groups because he was losing his voice! He handed us DLF bags and gave us a card to play games later. Then I gave him the dedication book and told him it was from everyone at Live Daily and he said aww ok thank you very much and put the book beside him on the table. I gave him a hug and then we went to sit down with our friends.

After awhile we walked over to the raffle/auction/donation table. I donated $60 to DLF and got a candle, Fly to Heaven cd, and a DLF bear. And I bought 1 raffle ticket because I needed money for later hehehe So we sat down and ate bagels and talked.

We spotted Howie all by himself by the front so we decided to go over and talk to him. We asked him if he was going to see Chicago and he said he was going to try before he left for LA. Then he asked what part of NY we live in so we told him and he said he had lived 2 summers in Astoria! That's about 10 mins away from me.

We were telling Howie about going to see Nick's concert and he said "oh so that's good... two Backstreet Boys in one day... a double whammy!!" hehehe, I said the same thing. Two of my friends who had seen it said it was amazing. And Howie was surprised and also asked if we were going to see it tonight and of course we all said Yes. Some other people stole Howie from us so we went back to sit down.

They came back to announce the raffle winners. The raffles were to play a game with Howie and 2 rounds. It was funny because we were like no Howie say 026 or whatever our #'s were so we had Howie and Pollyanna cracking up and then when my best friend Laura won one of the games we cheered so loudly and had Pollyanna going woo too lolz

After all the raffle winners were announced we went to the game room! The first game was the shooting gallery and I didn't really know who won the 1st round. I got to go to the side and watch Howie from the front and he looked soo cute with the shooting rifle. Pollyanna won the 2nd round and was teasing Howie and said "Howie read my lips 17!!" And they were both laughing. Howie placed 2nd he got 11. Next up was basketball. Didn't know who won either round, but as we were walking to skeeball I noticed I was next to Howie and he said "I'm getting better" and I'm like yea just install a basketball court in your house and then Rita, one of my friends I didn't know was going to the breakfast was like "you're already spending Howie's money" and I'm like yeaa why not?

So we continued to play along and told Howie to install pools and Jacuzzi's in our houses as well and Howie was cracking up with us and going Suree!! Howie won the 1st round in Skeeball. Then a guy for the 2nd round and all the winners from each game were going to compete in the Daytona 500. I walked over before anyone and stood by a car. Turns it out it was the one next to Howie's. He picked an easy car to drive in and went for automatic hehe Almost as soon as he drove off he beat up his car lolz

People were like easy on the turns, no, go left! No, go right! I'm like stop side seat driving. Howie won and he was so happy he threw his hands in the air it was so adorable. Then we headed back to eat some hot breakfast.

We got our food and I saw Pollyanna eating alone so I asked her to join us and she was going to come down but she said Howie would be along shortly. She asked us where we were from and told us she had lived in NY in several areas years ago. Including Astoria!! She also went to school somewhere upstate I think. And she said she worked at Mama Leone's (sp?).

Then Howie joined her so we left them alone. At some point I glanced up to look at him and I was admiring him and my friends caught sight of me and were like "stop burning a hole in the guy" I know I was blushing lolz Then after they were done eating and just talking my friend went up to him and asked him to sign a birthday card for her friend. This then turned into an autograph session.

No one was really talking or even looking at Pollyanna so I took out my cd and went over to her and asked her to sign it! She got Howie to sign it as well. I told her I saw her at Vteens last year and she smiled and was like yea that was fun! And of course I agreed! After a few minutes my friends and I went to line up to get Howie to sign our stuff so I took the picture I had blown up (the one in my avatar) and asked him to sign it and he personalized it and Pollyanna looked over and was like OMG that is soo cute and I said thank you!

Then we sat back down. After this was done they went ahead with more raffles for DLF bears, bsb t-shirts, and a picture frame, I think lolz Then we moved onto the auctions. They had 2 build a bears, 2 Arthur books with the video, Howie's DLF jacket and 2 Nick tixs with meet and greet passes. The Nick tickets went for $900 and then Howie produced 2 more tixs and the same girl got them again for $900!! I was like holly cowww!!

OMG Pollyanna is soo freaking funny!! When they were auctioning off the build-a-bears she kept playing Howie's message in them and kept egging on the ladies fighting for it. I think they went for about $900 as welll. When it came to Howie's DLF jacket he started modeling it, it was soo cute! He threw the jacket over his shoulder and striking poses ahhh It was amazing!!

I'm not sure how much his jacket went for. After the auctions were over we lined up to get our pictures with Howie before we left. So we went to the little lobby because by the door they had black lights and I was afraid the pictures wouldn't come out. I took my picture with Howie and hugged him and he thanked us for coming.
